Distinguishing Characteristics: Scars, Marks, Tattoos: Caucasian female. Madeleine has a small brown spot on her left calf, and a distinctive dark strip on the iris of her right eye.
Disappearance Circumstances: Madeleine was 3 years old when she disappeared from her parent’s apartment on the evening of 3rd May 2007 in the seaside resort of Praia da Luz in south-west Portugal. Madeleine was asleep in the room, while her parents dined nearby. On checking on her at approximately 10 pm they discovered she was missing. Madeleine is described as a happy go lucky child with long blonde/sandy hair and green/hazel eyes. Her right eye is distinctive as the pupil runs into the blue-green iris.
