National HRD K9 Seminar (human remains detection)
The HRD K9 seminar serves as a professional training program to enhance the understanding of K9 work in the field of missing and lost people, in addition provide certified testing of capabilities for any agency or volunteer who provides search services nationwide. The seminar offers expert training from a K9 imprint beginner level to advance recovery certification. The five-day program helps build a solid foundation for handlers and their K9 partner advance to peak performance, offering tools to be or become a reliable resource to their respected state and fosters a positive working relationship among all those who aid in missing person search efforts. - Currently this seminar has hosted participants from thirty-one states, and Canada
- HRD seminar began in November of 2015 hosted by Community United Effort (CUE)
- This program is open to any state for an annual training purpose and AWDA K9 certification (land and water)
- To date this program has certified 301 cadaver K9 units on (land) and additional 61 K9 units on (water) cadaver. and has hosted/trained 9 auditors.
