The HRD (human remains detection) K9 seminar serves as a professional training program to enhance the understanding of K9 work in the field of the missing and lost persons. In addition this elite training provides certified testing of capabilities for any agency or volunteer who provide search services to a community.
National HRD K9 Seminar
The seminar offers expert training from a K9 imprint beginner level to advance recovery certification. The five day program helps build a solid foundation for handlers and their K9 partner advance to peak performance, offering tools to be or become a reliable resource to their respected state and fosters a positive working relationship among all those who aid in missing person search efforts. - Currently this program has hosted participants from more than 35 states
- HRD seminar began in November of 2015 hosted by Community United Effort (CUE)
- This program is open to any state for an annual training purpose and AWDA K9 certification in various disciplines
- To date this program has nationally certified 205 cadaver K9 units (land and air scent) and 46 cadaver K9 units on water
