Details of Disappearance: Police suspect foul play in the disappearance of a Jacksonville woman whose new sport utility vehicle was found about a mile from her house three days after she was last seen.
Police say evidence in the 2000 Ford Expedition indicates foul play in the disappearance of Geanna M. Jones, 35, whose case has been additionally hampered by a fire at the new home she shared with her husband and four children.
“This thing is looking worse and worse as we go along,” said Sgt. Scott McLeod. “Evidence has been discovered in that vehicle that strongly leads to foul play.”
McLeod said Wilford L. Jones, 52, told police his wife left home for work about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 5 and never returned. He reported her missing the next morning. On Nov. 8, her red Ford was discovered at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Ricker Road. McLeod said police have no suspects in the disappearance.
