Details of Disappearance: On October 24, 1978, Mrs. Atwell departed for a normal day of work, after arriving to work and parking her car in the company parking area, she exited the car when someone attacked her from behind and employees in the building heard her scream. There were various items left around and she was never seen again.

Details of Disappearance:  Chelsea was put into Coney Island Hospital to be evaluated. She was given a roommate and met some people through her. Then left with an unknown man.

Details of Disappearance: Baturi’s mother became concerned about two weeks ago, when she noticed that Willis’ routine laboratory blood draws showed she may have not been taking the medication used to treat her mental illness. Sanchez, who lives in River Edge, said she spoke with her daughter’s counselor, who agreed to send an ambulance to the house. But Willis left before the ambulance arrived. She was last seen near her home on Sandford Boulevard in Mount Vernon wearing gray leggings and a mauve top, running sneakers and blue and green Beats headphones.

Details of Disappearance: William was last seen in Victor, New York on October 25, 2005. He had his car, a gray 2000 Toyota, repaired at the Eastview Mall that morning. At 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. that same day, his car was found abandoned on Walworth-Ontario Road north of Route 441 in Walworth, New York. Although it was raining heavily, the vehicle’s windows were rolled down. It had three-quarters of a tank of gas and was in operable condition. It had been driven about 25 miles that couldn’t be accounted for. An hour after the car was found, someone matching Zani’s description was seen walking along the road. He has never been heard from again. His case remains unsolved.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Scars, Marks, Tattoos: Caucasian female. Heidi has a birth mark (unknown location). One inch scar on right knee. She wears glasses or contact lenses and has pierced ears.

Details of Disappearance:  Allen was employed as a clerk at the D & W Convenience Store located at the intersection of New York State Routes 104 and 104B in New Haven, New York in 1994. A photo of the store is posted with this case summary. Allen opened the business by herself at approximately 5:45 a.m. on April 3, 1994. The last transaction was recorded on the cash register at 7:42 a.m.
A passerby flagged down a sheriff’s patrol unit outside the store at approximately 8:15 a.m. and reported that the business was open but unattended. An extensive search produced few clues as to Allen’s whereabouts and she has never been heard from again.
The ensuing investigation revealed that Allen was most likely taken against her will from the store. Her jacket, purse and car keys were left behind in the store when she vanished, her maroon station wagon was undisturbed in the parking lot, and money was found in the cash register and on the counter.
Richard Thibodeau was charged with Allen’s kidnapping in May 1994, one month after she was last seen. Richard’s brother, Gary Thibodeau, was arrested on the same charge in August 1994, three months later. Richard was the last customer known to be in the store before Allen vanished. He says he purchased two packs of cigarettes at 7:30 a.m. and left.
Gary was convicted of first-degree kidnapping in Allen’s case in June 1995 and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Richard was acquitted of all charges in September 1995. Gary attempted to appeal his conviction, but was denied in 1999. He is expected to remain incarcerated until 2020.
Prior to her disappearance, Allen’s cousin, Melissa Searles, gave her a gold bracelet with her name on it. Searles stated the bracelet mysteriously turned up inside an envelope in her mailbox in 2004, but she didn’t tell the police or anyone else about it for years. The reasons for her silence are unclear.
Allen’s abduction got additional attention the summer of 2014, when investigators dug up the floor of a collapsed cabin looking for her body. They didn’t find anything in the search, however. Her mother died in 2015 at the age of 66, on what would have been Allen’s 40th birthday.
Allen was about to graduate from Onondaga Community College with a degree in human services when she disappeared; she hoped to get a career in education or counseling. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Scars, Marks, Tattoos:  Caucasian female. Light brown hair, hazel eyes. Tammie has a homemade tattoo or scar of her initials, T. A. M., on her upper left arm. Her ears are pierced.

Details of Disappearance:  Tammie McCormick, of 5 Deerleap Place, was last seen was last seen by family members the morning of April 29 before she attempted to catch the bus to the Saratoga Springs Junior High School, where she was a student. She missed the bus, and she never made it to the junior high school. She may have tried to hitchhike. She has not been seen, heard from or spotted by anyone since then. Police were concerned early on, as she did not leave a note and did not take a change of clothing with her. Her mother waited until two days later to report her daughter missing to the police because she thought Tammie may have stayed at a friend’s. She said Tammie often stayed overnight with her friends, but would call the next morning to say she was OK. Foul play is suspected.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Scars, Marks, Tattoos: Caucasian female. Sharon had three temporary caps or dentures installed in place of her upper four front teeth in December 2001 as the result of an accident. Her ears are pierced.

Details of Disappearance: Sharon resided on Nettle Creek Road in Perinton, New York with her three children in 2001. She was estranged from her husband, Alan Shechter, and was in the midst of a difficult divorce.
Sharon received an order of protection against him in 2000. Alan was charged with criminal contempt after violating the order in October 2000. He grabbed Sharon in front of her home at the time of the incident. The charges were scheduled to be dismissed in March 2002, provided Alan did not receive additional criminal complaints. Sharon phoned her mother at approximately 12:00 p.m. on December 9, 2001. She said that she planned to pick up her children from Alan’s residence later that afternoon.
Sharon finished some holiday shopping and had dinner at a restaurant in Macedon, New York with a friend.  Sharon was last seen at approximately 5:00 p.m. when she walked inside of her residence to activate the holiday lights. Sharon has never been heard from again. Sharon’s red/maroon 1992 Dodge Caravan with wood grain panels and the New York license plate number U457WP was discovered abandoned later on December 12. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Days Inn motel in the 1200 block of Chili Avenue in Gates, New York. Blood was discovered inside it. Authorities have not announced publicly whether the blood was determined to be Sharon’s. She did not register as a guest at the motel and no one remembers seeing her inside the building.
