Marcia Ely is a member of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department Search and Recovery Team in Rome, Georgia. During the past several years, she have been a piper for the Rome Fire Department Pipes and Drums in Rome, Georgia, the John Mohr MacKintosh Pipes and Drums in Atlanta, Georgia and currently is the piper for the Gordon County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard in Calhoun, Georgia.
For 23 years Marica is an overseas missionary and has been humbled to play her pipes all around the world from the orphanages in China to the bush in Africa. She remains humbled to be a part of this solemn service. As a member of her search team, she can promise you to always search with everything that is within her to help bring a loved one home. “I search for each precious soul as if they were my own” said Marcia Ely.
She will perform Amazing Grace in honor of missing and murdered persons
