Advanced Tactical Training Search and Rescue
William Bolton (Bill)
Bill started his adult life in the military as a paramedic. After serving in the regular
forces, he worked in computers for a while.
After immigrating to Canada in 1982, he joined the Waterloo Police Auxiliaries
(Reserves). Where he served for 18 years in regular patrol, traffic branch and training
branch.
He became a rescue diver and advanced further in aviation doing private pilots flying
and later UAV, certified both in the United States FAA 107 and Transport Canada certification, currently holding the certification of flight examiner. Having always had an interest in canine and search, he formed Advanced Tactical Training Search & Rescue in 2013.
Since then the group has grown to include:
• Ground search and rescue certification
• Canine unit
• Marine Unit
• Aviation Unit
• Mounted (Equine) Unit
Working across Canada and internationally, Bolton has promoted and expanded the groups abilities, working with other groups in similar and different fields, allowing a wider spectrum of support when it comes to searches.
Currently Bill is working with ground penetrating radar and rescue radar to assist in cold cases and disaster rescues, before they become recoveries.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
