Details of Disappearance: Patti was last seen in the Sauk Mountain area of Washington on October 2, 2010. She, her fiancé Larry Pressley, and his family and friends had hiked there to scatter the ashes of his deceased parents.
According to the group, while they were on the way down the mountain they saw Patti and her dog, a 100-pound Rottweiler named Bear, go down the wrong trail. They called after her to say she was going the wrong way, but she kept going and they didn’t follow her, thinking her trail would hook up with their own later on.
She has never been heard from again. Bear was found three weeks later, several miles from where Patti was last seen. It was malnourished, but alive. It appeared as if the dog had been on the mountain the entire time since Patti was missing.
