In her personal life, Shawn is blessed to have the love and support of her husband and their five wonderful adult children and three grandchildren, as well as her parents and siblings, all who are tremendous supporters of the CUE Center. Additionally, Shawn and her husband are parents to a young adult son on the Autism Spectrum who enjoys self-advocating and promoting awareness for Autism, particularly to Law Enforcement and Search Personnel about searching for someone with Autism who is missing, from his own unique perspective.
Shawn currently works in the behavioral health field with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders. Shawn has two friends who are long term missing, and she seeks to use compassion and a heart for helping others, combined with knowing the emotions tied to walking along this path, to comfort others on this journey and to help search for resolution.
